If you work with single needles and rather thick pigments, to avoid diluting and reducing the concentration of coloring particles, you can use 3R tips. In R-Line tips, even the 3R is quite narrow, the needle is easily set along the wall of the tip and will not wobble, but the supply of thick pigment will be noticeably better. The photo shows 1R and 3R tips for comparison. The hole is wider, of course, but not a tunnel—quite a reasonable width.
